Up for bid is the Heutschenreuter porcelain figurine known as "Sonnenkind", or The Sun Child.For those who are familiar with the work of this German porcelain company, no description is necessary as it is one of their more famous pieces, prepared and molded circa 1930 by Karl Tutter who was their foremost artist. It has an Art Deco flair and is absolutely exquisite. This piece is approximately 9" tall, showing a nude standing on a golden globe with her arms swept up and backwards, head thrown back, and balanced on one foot. The original Heutschenreuter kunstabteilung (art division) production number sticker is still on the bottom, and Tutter's name is impressed into the base as well. T are no damages, chips, or blemishes of any kind on this piece, it is in excellent shape for being over 75 years old. Please ask any and all questions before bidding, as all sales are final. I would suggest buying insurance for this piece should you win, because even though I have it packed extremely well, I cannot and will not be responsible for any damage incurred after it is dropped off for shipping.
