A Pair of Heavy Cast Bronze Maker's Name Plates from the front of a spark proof Mines Underground Locomotive stating HUWOOD HUDSWELL. These Plates were taken from the Front of a Mines Locomotive built in the 1940s by an amalgamation of the Hudswell Clarke & Co Ltd and the Hugh Wood & Co Ltd as a Flame Proof Diesel Locomotive used for pulling coal wagons deep underground. The plates are each 330 mms in length and 90 mms deep at the widest, their thickness is 13 mms and together they weigh a hefty 4+ Kilos ! If you need further details please email me. Good bidding.
