This auction is for a 1960s Hyalyn Art Pottery Sculpture African Head It measures 13.5" tall with a sculpture of African head on separate square base. It is glazed in textured light brown matte. Designed by sculptor Frances Johnson Moody, wife of the founder of the firm, located in Hickory, North Carolina. The square black pedestal base has a flat cork bottom marked Hyalyn. This cork has been punctured but is still legible and has not affected the sculpture. T are a few surface marrs, as shown in the photo.
