The perfect gift for the fan of Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull fame! This is a set of 13 black & white, 5x7 inch glossy photos with a white border showing Ian Anderson in his early days. These photos were taken in August of 1976, as Ian was rehearsing for an appearance on the Mike Douglas Show in Philadelphia , PA. The images mostly show him on stage, seated on a stool with his guitar (sometimes with a cigarette in his hand or mouth!). One shot shows him walking out to the stage (he's in the shadows, face not really visible). The final shot shows him backstage, turning and giving the camera a smile as he walks down the hall. It's most unusual to see Ian in a suit during this time period of his career, but the Mike Douglas Show appealed to an older audience. So he put on a suit, got a haircut, and played some acoustic songs without the band, Jethro Tull. During the rehearsal/sound testing, he posed for these unique pictures. These photo reprints are all in excellent condition, no creases, bends, tears, or fingerprints. Great collectible item for any music fan, especially someone who appreciates the work of Ian Anderson and/or Jethro Tull. BONUS! The winning bidder will also receive a printout of an article written by Norman Schreiber in 1976 about Anderson and this appearance on the show. The article includes two additional pictures read more
