ICM 1/72 BTR-152K Russian Armoured Personnel Carrier 20 mm scale Ref : ICM72521 This auction is for a brand new kit still sealed in it's plastic bag. The BTR-152 is a Soviet Armoured Personnel Carrier introduced in 1950. It had an open topped troop compartment in the rear with a front mounted engine. The BTR-152 was armed with a 7.62mm SGMB machine gun and had capacity for 2 crew and 18 soldiers. The BTR-152K had an armoured roof with three large hatches with two opening above the troop compartment. The capacity reduced from 2+18 soldiers to 2 + 13 soldiers. This variant was also converted for use as an armoured ambulance. Production stopped in 1962 after more than 15,000 had been built. By the 1970s, the BTR-152 was replaced by the 8 wheel Soviet BTR-60 although remained in service until 1993 in various guises. It still remains in active service with many countries supplied by Russia. Ideal for wargaming or just building for fun . Not to be missed.
