More photos below This listing is for a group of 35 photos from a "Harris" family album which includes two Civil War soldier's who are identified as John Harbridge, D Co. with 2nd Illinois Inf. and his best friend, James, W. McA---y? (can't decipher his last name). Harbridge wrote a message to his mother on the back of James photo: Mother, This is my comrad that I went pioneering with, he is one of my best friends. In fact has allways stood by me through thick and thin. Keep this one especially from getting lost and you will greatly oblidge your soldier boy. John Harbridge, D Co. with 2nd Ill. Inf." Both photos were taken by Campbell A. West of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Other people are identified by names written on the page with their photos or on the backs of their photos. Names include:Harriet Harbridge Beach; also a cdv sized paper with the name Harriet Harbridge Beach and "taken Nov. 8, 1872 the day Grant was reelected for President of the U.S.A."
