Idaho Territory scarce 1878 Mitchell antique folio engraved color map Territory of Idaho Issued Philadelphia, 1878 by Augustus Mitchell. Attractive and uncommon issue of this fine mid 19th century antique folio engraved/ lithographed map. On back is a fine detailed map of Washington. Oregon, Idaho & part of Montana all together.A scarce/ rare transitional map which only appeared in very few issues of the Mitchell atlas. Delicately and finely printed, with various Government acts & Treaties named as well as an unusual configuration of early counties and Indian Reservations.In VG, mostly clean condition. Paper gently toned along the edges with some light minor dampstaining. Otherwise map remains clean and very well-preserved overall. Sheet measures c. 15 1/4" W x 11 3/4" HPrinted area measures c. 14 1/4" W x 11" H. Folio. Z11025 Please look carefully and make your decision knowing this antique image is nice, but it is not in perfect "like new" condition. However, with whatever flaws it possesses, it remains entirely worthy of ownership and inclusion in any related collection. We feel it will prove very pleasing to its new owner.
