Adorable and vintage 30s Ideal doll creation of Shirley Temple in Composition. Fully jointed with Mohair wig. Her dress, shoes and socks are replacements, however period appropriate and in near perfect condition. Pastel pink, tight-pleated pinafore with wide ruffle collar accented with pink satin bows. Evidently her original outfit was in yellow and would have matched her original hair ribbon. Some of the original hair pins are also missing.Wig is in wonderful condition, however curls are flattened from storage and could use a trip to your local styling salon to restore some of the lost luster. Her overall Composition body is rated to be in very good condition. Composition finish is free of hand grime and shiny, minimal random tight crazing, with one crescent shaped crack extending from top to mid-thigh and spider cracking on her abdomen. Cracks are clean with no extensive flaking or chipping of the Composition. Minimal flesh color loss on fingertips and color rubbing on one forearm. Some "clouding" to the paint on one eye. We have priced her to reflect these flaws. Sleepy eyes open and close appropriately. Back of head is marked with the embossed Shirley Temple COP copyright symbol, IDEAL N & T Co.
