Up for auction are a set of two vintage mid-century modern "Niva" highball cocktail glasses designed in 1971 by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala and made in Finland .This pair of iconic crystal drink glasses are from the beautiful "Niva" ( Rushing Stream ) Collection (now discontinued) and feature a sculptural textured relief of striated ice formations. The dimensions are approximately 5 5/8" tall by 2 1/2" in diameter and the volume is approximately 12 ounces. These stunning Eames-Era highball glasses are in great gently-used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and little-to-no surface marks or wear commensurate with use or age (please see all photos).A great addition for the collector of stunning mid-century modern Finnish Iittala Crystal from Scandinavia .This week I am offering more highball glasses in the "Niva" pattern as well.
