Ikelite Substrobe 50 Underwater Flash UnitHere is a great Ikelite Substrobe 50 for your Ikelite underwater camera housing. Designed for film cameras, it will work in TTL exposure mode with them. It will work with some digital cameras with a slave sensor, in the camera's manual flash mode.Ikelite products are made in USA, with excellent quality. Case in point is this little flash that just keeps on working. This works with 4 AA batteries, not included. It needs a cable to your housing, supplied by Ikelite or from eBay. You will need to research to see if this will work with your camera (it works with film cameras, or with some digital cameras in manual flash mode, which many point and shoot digitals can't support, only high end digital models). With the right cable for Nikon, it works well in TTL exposure mode with the Nikonos V film camera. In case you are not aware, manual exposure is often the best and simplest way to go underwater, because autoexposure systems just don't seem to get it right underwater.This is working and does show light wear, scratches and tape residue, as pictured.
