The model is with Mars Light and is DCC Ready with a socket - ready to accept the NMRA Compliant Decoder of your choice. The model features Dual Machined Brass Flywheels. The EMD World War II era 2000 Horsepower diesel electrics E-3 and E-6 were nearly identical in appearance and both featured the distinctive slant nosed cab. General Motors EMD division constructed 16 of the E-3A units from 1939 through 1940 and 2 of the E-2B units during 1939. General Motors EMD division constructed 92 of the E-6A units from 1939 through 1942 and 26 of the E-6B units between 1940 through 1942. Both classes featured two 12 cylinder EMD 567 diesel power plant. With a 2000 HP power plant, these engines were soon enlisted in premiere passenger service on many class A railroads including the Illinois Central, Chicago, Burlington & Quincy , Union Pacific, L&N and Santa Fe.
