Illinois Central System Railroad IC RR Silver Hugh 18" Divided Tray 1941 Item : Up for auction is one Illinois Central System Railroad IC RR Silver Hugh 18" long by 13" wide Divided Tray, almost 3 1/2 lbs . I should have put something in the picure next to the tray to show just how extrimley large this tray is, it weighs allmost 3 1/2 lbs. This pattern is on page 127 of the Silver Banquet II Book. The large 18" divided tray does not appear in the picture, but is the same pattern and is marked the same on the back. I am not sure what this was used for, turkey, meat and vegetables?? At any rate this tray must be very rare, because I could not find another one throughout the silver plate book for any railroad listed t By the way the largest tray I think I found was a 14 in. and no divided trays like this one in any size. This has got to be a must have for any serious IC collector! This is a Museum Quality Railroad Serving Piece! Size : This railroad platter measures 18 Inches long by 13 Inches wide almost 3 1/2 lbs. Backmarks : The back is-- IC Systems, IS, International Silver Co., Silver Soldered, 05077A, 18 IN., Number 41 iside a box, for the date code 1941. Please see pictures.
