Good condition Imperial German Model 1871 Mauser bayonet that is manufacturer marked W.R. KIRSCHBAUM SOLINGEN on the blade and dated 1874 on the spine. This early piece is unit marked to a Landwehr Regiment along with a canceled 81 st Infantry Regiment unit marking. Full length blade has a dark brown patina with some mild scale and has been sharpened. Guard has silver gray finish. Brass grip has brass appearance with some minor dings. Lock spring functions fine. A good example of this very scarce Imperial German M1871 Mauser bayonet with nice markings, will make a fine addition to your collection.
