This is an early porcelain enamel sign for Imperiales Cigarettes, which I believe was a San Francisco Company known for their 'Russian mouthpieces'. It is truly a stunner, with the image of the man in a top hat and tuxedo with a cane and monocle, smoking one of their cigarettes.The sign measures 21 by 14 inches, and is single-sided with six mounting holes. At the bottom it has the makers name, Balto Enamel and Nov. (Novelty) Co., West B'way (Broadway), NY.Although this sign has some damage including rust areas and some scratches, and I'm not usually into tobacciana at all, I cant stop looking at it. The cobalt blue is gorgeous, the shelving is really nice, and the man is happy and seems to be looking straight at you. This will be a great display piece for someone. It has not been restored at all, but certainly could be.Buyer to pay $20 shipping (UPS Ground, must have street address) plus insurance if desired. Selling in as-is condition. I accept only Paypal.
