(2) Important Chinese Ming Tianqi porcelain trays.(1) hare form, possibly belonging to a special group of Tianqi porcelain commissioned for the Japanese high-end market for tea service (for a similar example in blue and white, see Item MG 116 B in the Hunt Museum) - however, this is one of the rarer, if not the only known, example that combines the use of underglaze blue ko sometsuke and overglaze enamel ko akae, 6.5"W x 4"L; (1) quatrefoil overglaze enamel ko akae tray depicting a scholar, possibly Zhao Bian (1008-1084) with his crane, 7.25"W x 4.75"L. Provenance: From the collection of a prominent Northern California collector. Circa - 1605-1627.
