This is a commemorative badge issued by the Montgomery County Maryland Police Department to mark the inauguration of George W. Bush in 2001. Montgomery County Maryland is a suburb of Washington D. C. and their officer probably assisted in the inaugural activities. The badge is 3" tall and 2.5" wide. It depicts the Montgomery County Courthouse, the Seal of The President and the Maryland and United States flags enameled on either side. It is marked on the back "Collinson USA" and numbered 239. I have no idea how many were made. There are no scratches, dings, dents or anything else on the badge. It appears to be in mint condition.
