This is a JEWELRY BOX or TRINKET BOX that was made by INCOLAY STUDIOS . The objets d'art , beautiful work of art has extremely fine detail made by hand by artisans. The original sculpture was created 1820-1869 and was made in chased bronze. The multicolored carved stone look enhances the fine detail of the original and provides a new perspective for the fine piece of the past. Note the MEDIEVAL KNIGHT in the carved design of the lid. Dimensions are 11 3/8" long, 8 7/8" wide and 3" tall. This piece is in mint condition with no signs of usage. INCOLAY STONE is a complex combination of minerals including those composing Onyx, Malachite, Carnelian, Jade, etc . Selected minerals are crushed and ground into particle sizes forming an aggregate. Various colored minerals and coupling agents are combined in the artwork and background to produce the same variegated formations and beauty of natural stone .
