COLLECTED FROM THE 1950s This is a 20" x 16" Original and Vintage Tesuque Pueblo oil painting on board by Pete Vigil, born in 1919. At the publishing of Snodgrass' book on Native American painters in 1968, Vigil was still living in Tesuque. This is a very rare oil painting from a Pueblo Indian in the 20th century. Signed at lower right 'Pete Vigil', it has been in this same collection since the 1950s. Great image, in fine condition. The biography from Snodgrass for Vigil is enclosed in the photos.
