This is a very nice example of a large Indo Persian Pulwar Tulwar Shamshir Sword which dates from the mid to late 19th Century. It is mounted with a pronounced curved, multi-fullered blade that measures 32 1/2 inches in length. The blade remains in nice condition with just some minor surface staining and wears some type of maker's marking on one side. The solid metal hilt shows to have received a cleaning in recent years, nevertheless does remain nice in condition showcasing all of its beautiful intricately detailed design. Overall measuring 37 inches in length. There is no scabbard.
