This is a BEAUTIFUL example of an E INGRAHAM Mantle Clock in SUPERIOR COMPLETELY RESTORED GREAT LOOKING and GREAT RUNNING condition. It is a very classy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. It was made circa1905. It has a signed "Ingraham Clock Co" 8-day time and strike movement which chimes the half-hour and counts the hours on the hour on a cathedral gong, with a beautiful sound. The movement runs very well and keeps good time. The movement was just cleaned, oiled, pivots polished and bushings added w needed. This clock will not need servicing for many years to come, and is ready for the next 100 years! This is a labor intensive service, with many clockmakers charging 250.00 and up. We recommend having it oiled every 2 to 3 years to keep it in tip-top shape! With the purchase of this clock for an additional $ 2.25 we will include an oiler kit with a professional oiler loaded with enough oil to oil approximately 50 clocks with easy instructions so you could even do it yourself! The dial is original and in superior condition with the original hands. The case is also extremely beautiful! Looks GREAT with its restored perfect finish! The case is made of solid wood (OAK) with a deep finish and a Victorian Style in BEAUTIFUL condition. It has a large cathedral gong and a hammer which makes a beautiful strike. It has an adjustment for fast and slow on the dial, which can be turned by small end of the key (see picture). This way you don't have to take the clock down off the shelf to adjust for slow and fast. Comes with the original Ingraham pendulum and a new large heavy duty double ended American key (see picture). One end to wind the clock and the other to adjust it for slow and fast. Runs great with a really wide pendulum swing and a happy ticking sound. The clock measures 10 ¼ inches high, 6 inches deep, and 16 ½ inches wide. Has its original back door with its original door catch and peep hole. These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working after nearly 100 years! And the truly amazing thing with proper care they will work easily past the next 100 years, and much more! If you are looking for an antique clock is massive, a strong runner, and in great condition, this is it! Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment.
