This is for a nice Victorian writing etui with integral travelling inkwell. The outer casing is nickel with a spiral design and the hook over the top releases the lid to the inkwell. Inside the lid is the glass bottle that is slightly sprung so when its lid is replaced and the hook pulled over the bottle becomes sealed. All this pulls off to reveal the storage for the little dip pen holder (no nib ), pencil and quill shaper. The pencil and dip pen pull out and when reversed fit back into their holders to make a full sized tool. The tools have matching spiral handles . It measures 120mm (4.75") tall and is 14mm (0.5") in diameter.Also included in this sale is a larger matching dip pen ,this does not store inside case as it is the same size.The items are all in good condition ,no cracks ,chips ,scratches or tarnishing and have been cleaned and polished .There is slight loss of plating to the large dip pen ,but is still nice looking.
