ANTIQUE INLAID ROSEWOOD LAP DESK WITH FULL INTERIOR Another jewel from our acquisition of a major dealerâe(tm)s entire inventory! This is a fine lap desk made out of solid Rosewood with inlaid panels made out of a hard white organic material that gets this listing pulled down we say the âeoeIâe word. Yes, silly considering this is a 150 year old piece but we respect e-Bay trying to halt the trade in the new stuff from poached endangered animals. Back to this piece: It is 12âe long, 9âeoewide and 4âe tall. It has a functioning lock but did not come with a key. We have 100âe(tm)s of old keys and we will try to find one that fits this miniature lock. This lap desk has a bottom storage compartment and a hidden top one that remains closed by a tiny brass latch. The front of this desk has a covered writing implement holder. T is a small separation in its back boarder from very early shrinkage in the Rosewood (a common occurrence with Rosewood). A great gift for any serious box collector! If your item is glass and below $25.00, we will give you the option of whether or not you would like to purchase the insurance. We do a good job of packing and have not had any problems with breakage, so far. Once the item leaves our hands we are not responsible for items lost or damaged. Claims of breakage or items âeoelost in the mailâe are only covered with the purchase of insurance. If the unforeseen happens, and you have purchased the insurance, please notify us right away so we can provide you with all the required documentation for your claim.
