The luster, brilliance and optical quality of this AAA gem herkimer is the very best available. Super sharp perfect natural mirror luster crystal faces. In 1995 Phil and his wife pulled up in the big RV to Quartzite, Arizona and set out their herkimers. They were fourth of fifth generation Fonda residents. Fonda is the town and county in upstate New York, 3 or so hours by automobile from the Canadian border w the herkimer quartz crystals are found in solid granite rock. You must swing quite a heavy pick and hammer to find these perfectly terminated herkimer quartz crystals as they grow in granite pocket chambers. Many of these pockets contain herkimers that lock & key together like parts of a puzzle, many herkimer quartz crystals I have found link together simular to a crystal spiral helix found in chemical DNA.
