Inuit Eskimo Pipe Soapstone Carving w Copper Circa 1970 Silas Aittauq Baker Lake. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS.Very nice Inuit pipe by Silas Aittauq of the Baker Lake region with provenance. Purchased from the estate of a collector of Native American and Canadian artwork. The piece was made around 50 years ago and the artist has since passed. Very unique pipe with a carved soapstone bowl featuring a face. There is a copper band and what I'm guessing is a cedar mouthpiece. It is in excellent vintage condition and the bowl appears unused. Overall length is approximately 5.75". The stone portion is approximately 3" long and 1.5" tall. The copper band appears to have possible sticker residue on it. This is a fantastic and unusual piece for your collection of Inuit art or your pipe collection! Ships FREE, ASAP! Thanks
