Vintage Inuit bone(?) carving with murres/auks/puffins on a cliff face/iceberg. Amazing detail. I inherited this piece from my in-laws and I do not know much about it. I do know they visited both Canada and Alaska (between 1950-1980) so the piece could be from either. I am unsure of the material carved for this piece so I have not cleaned it- there is some dust. It looks like this could be a piece of fossilized bone. Overall, this carving is in great condition, however there appear to be some small cracks (see photos). I provided multiple photos so please examine those to gather more information about the piece. This piece measures approximately 3 1/8 inches by 2 3/4 inches by 2 inch.
