You are bidding on a custom Iowa Hawkeyes metallic silver Riddell VSR-4 adult medium football helmet. This pro combat style prototype was released for sale on the Iowa Hawkeyes athletic department surplus store (see photos) in February, but they were never worn in games and are not being sold anymore. The helmet is in great used shape and comes complete with all padding (except for the front forehead pad, which is easily replaceable), decals, and the official Hawkeyes chinstrap (although helmet is not drilled for high snaps, this can be done easily by somebody with more experience than I). Signs of light use can be seen on the helmet, but you wont find any significant scratches or gouges that take away from the helmet. Although the helmet was made for and used in full contact football, it is being sold as a collectible and is not intended for use. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
