Irredeemable Ant-Man #2 Original Cover Art by Phil Hester and Ande Parks Up for auction is an original piece of Phil Hester and Ande Parks art from the second issue of their amazing (and all too short) Irredeemable Ant-man run with Robert Kirkman. This is the cover to issue 2 - one of the best and certainly the most detailed cover of their run. Ande dubbed this one the "Firey Ant-Man cover" and you can certainly see why after looking at the piece. The detail in this cover is incredible and it is a sight to behold in person! Ande Parks (as always) expertly renders his inks over Hester's pencils and this cover is definitely evidence of their masterful teamwork. Take a look at the details on the Ant-Man figure in the pictures, not to mention the debris, skulls, and incredible background. Original art from this book hasn't been surfacing on ebay, much less a cover of this caliber! The cover measures 11 x 17 on Marvel art stock and the art just pops off the page! The cover is signed in ink at the bottom by both Phil Hester and Ande Parks . Also included is an NM+ copy of Ant-Man #2 signed by Hester and Parks. The cover is in great condition overall, but t are a few dings in the page that need to be described so that the potential buyer understands exactly what they are bidding on. When it was originally shipped to me the upper right corner of the piece was bent. It has been flattened out, but slight creases remain in this corner. Also, t is a ½ inch ding about halfway down the right side of the piece as well. This is by no means anything that should keep you from bidding and nope of these imperfections affect the main area of the art, I just don't want anyone to receive a piece of art and not get what they are expecting. Please take a look at the pictures for details. I originally obtained the page from Ande Parks. I've listed a number of pieces of original art, sketchbooks, and prints today that need a good home. Scott Campbell limited Slave Girl Leia print, a limited Alex Ross Uncle Sam print w he's giving the finger, the Jim Lee All Star Sketchbook B&W sketch variant signed sketchbook, Travis Charest's 2007 Stuff Wot I Drew signed color sketchbook, and Arthur Suydam's Mostly Zombies Sketchbook #1 signed, as well as the Heroes #1 Nikki/Jessica Wizard World Chicago variant comic, the Heroes #2 San Diego variant, and the rare limited signed slipcased hardcover version of the original 30 Days of Night series.
