7.75x9.75" vintage bw glossy photo shows view of Irving Klaw's storefront "Irving Klaw Movie Star Photos." While Klaw did in fact sell movie stars and stills (Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Clark Gable and others are visible in this photo), Klaw is most remembered for his mail order operation in which he sold photos of pin-up models, many times involving nudity, bondage and fetishes. Klaw is pictured behind the counter with his sister Paula who posed most of his models and took their photos. Upon close inspection, front of counter appears to have some type of bondage photos on display. Klaw is also noted as being among the first fetish photographers, noted for his use of pin-up queen Bettie Page as a model. Vintage 1950s photo. Lt. handling but Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
