You're looking at a hand-made brass filigree shield frame, made in Italy. About 38.5" (about 1 meter) in diameter and weighs 10 lbs. I have no knowledge on brass art but noticed there is "made in Italy S604/3" etched on the back. All I can tell is the craftsmanship is very good. A friend of mine purchased this from an auction 20 years ago and upon moving sold this to me. Condition is excellent but the back of the frame has VERY minor bits of tarnish.
