Please !! Early Italian? Murano Island ornate 'wedding cake' foiled and lampworked glass beads earrings for ladies who prefer antique items of jewellery rather than spanking new things found on The High Street in typical jewellery shops. B off in Beads V in ta ge has assembled this lovely pair and you can see all the details in the many photographs. These beads were first made showing an emerald green and beige ground of reflective surface from embedded foiled silver paper? and the clear, dark blue and gold-leaf tinted loop-di-loop trailings were done whilst the beads were still hot, and applied to what looks like base of clear glass. The beads are in very good vintage condition with just a little surface decoration loss as you see in the photos yet the clear glass loop-di-loops are actually still there. Pink roses of course and blue and white blobs to represent forget-me-not flowers. Variable diameter of hand-made 'wound' beads 8.00 - 8.5 mm above and lower beads circa 12 mm. Weight each earring: 3.7 grams and 3.8 grams which is medium-weight as far as earrings are concerned. New heart-shaped stamped 14K GF gold-filled leverbacks will secure the earrings to your ear lobes and neither be easily lost nor tarnish over time.
