For your bidding consideration with no reserve, I am pleased to offer this "Filigree Brass, Celluloid/French Ivory, Jewelry/Box W/Hand Painted Ships" made in Italy, I am not certain when this box was made, but would guess that it was made before 1950's. This box features a filigree integrate design over a cream color cloth for the background, the center cartouche has a handpainted scene of ships and is surrounded with Celluloid or French Ivory (French Ivory is celluloid w/ground ivory, the lines do run parallel, this is not pure ivory). The overall dimensions of this box is approximately 8 1/4" wide, 5 1/2" deep, 2 1/4" tall, the handpainted nautica scene is 2" by 1 1/2", this vintage box is in great condition, no breakage on the brass, or tears in the fabric and possesses a nice patina on the brass.............I have taken several photographs for you to make your own evaluation. This piece is marked on the latch "Made In Italy" beautiful box for storing watches, jewelry etc. I take pride in packaging all my merchandise carefully to insure safe arrival to its new owners. ***PLEASE NOTE: Unless prior arrangements have been made, payment must be received within 3 days after the listing has ended, if payment has not been received within that time limit, than on the 4th day I will file a non-payment claim with Ebay.
