Offered in this auction is a genuine and excellent Italian Modernist adjustable brass table lamp by Arredoluce, c.1960! This piece is 12" high in the normal position. The brass shade is 14" in diameter, the enameled brass base is 7 1/2" in diameter. The underside of the brass shade is enamel, as is the metal bulb cover. Opaque glass shade. Stitched leather cover on the column. The lamp is in all original condition, just purchased from a local estate, the previous owner told me she bought the lamp new in Italy, early or mid 1960's. Designed by Angelo Lelli or Ettore Sottsass perhaps? Original paper label on the base "Made In Italy" and " Arredoluce Monza". The angle of the shade is adjustable via interior mechanism located at the top of the column, as shown in the jpgs below. Minor scuff marks and signs of wear, one very slight crease in the top of the shade, and the interior shade has a minor crease. The leather on the column is becoming loose at the top, easily repaired. Overall the lamp is in excellent and all original condition. The lamp works well, I believe with the original bulb, I haven't taken the piece apart to check. The lamps weighs almost 10 pounds unpacked. A very nice find indeed for a retro, Eames, Modernist collection, quality lamps by Arredoluce becoming quite difficult to find! Very minimal opening bid of $199.9
