Up for bid is a great old original antique Ithaca Calendar Clock Company "Red Corner" grandfather clock dial, for an Ithaca Spring Driven grandfather clock only . (It will not fit the Ithaca Weight driven grandfather clock.)It is extremely difficult to find an original ITHACA "Red Corner" spring driven grandfather dial as nice as this one - that is not torn or ripped because they were made around 100 years ago.This great old Ithaca Grandfather Dial measures 12 1/2" by 12 1/2" square.Why spend $200.00 or more to have your old Ithaca GF dial professionally restored or professionally reproduced when you can have a nice old original one on your prized Ithaca grandfather clock?As many collectors know, Ithaca made only calendar movements and clock cases - they never made any of their own time and strike movements. Instead, the Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. contracted with five different clock manufacturers to supply their time and strike movements for both their calendar clocks and their grandfather clocks.Ithaca used Welch Clock Co. movements for their early (1898, 1899 & 1900) spring driven grandfather clocks.
