These bars are adaptable for many other pen brands. The Esterbrook series of fountain pens are amongst the most popular pens being collected today. Praised for their affordability, these pens can be transformed by simply changing the screw-in nib. There are 33 nibs that comprise the 1000, 2000, and 9000 series of nibs. These are the most plentiful nibs still in circulation (with the exception of dip pen nibs - there were millions of those made). The selection and choices of screw-in nibs came directly from the most popular Esterbrook dip pen nibs. Even rarer today are the 3000 and 8000 series of screw-based nibs. These nibs were only made for a very short time and are highly collectible. Please keep in mind these are older pens, made 60 to 80 years ago. There may be some slight imperfections to the surface of the pen. Included is a chart of the most popular Esterbrook nibs. Each nib pictured has a representation of the ink line made by the nib.
