Being offered is a vintage J. & E. Norton one gallon stoneware jug handrafted in Bennington Vermont. The company was in business from 1850-1859. It features a dark blue floral pattern on the front along with the J.& E. Norton name above the floral. It measures about 11" in height and the base 6.5". T is a dried cock in the jug. This is a remarkable piece of stoneware and great piece of Vermont and New England history. The jug is in very good condition except for a small chip on the lip (top edge).
