This is a nice old knife made by a well known quality edge toolmaker in Sheffield England. Clearly marked "J. HOWARTH SHEFFIELD ENGLAND" on the steel blade. I've has other edge tools from this maker, all were of excellent quality for the age that they were made. The case is steel and brass handles. The lock is still good as it hold the blade in the opened position well. The blade end is a bit shortened as it measures 2 3/8" from the case, less than normal wear, as the blade has been sharpened. A nice looking pocket knife overall!
