It polishes brightly as I have the finished cabs and works pretty easily. The rock does contain arsenic...so you should protect yourself from the fumes. Wet lapping is recommended vs. dry lapping. Wash your hands regulary or wear gloves. My rock hounding friends and I have never heard of anyone having a problem. The rock has been around for at least 5-6 years and already may be in short supply...so if you want some, do not wait too long. From Indonesia.
