Very rare, copy of Jack/John Kerouacs,first novel,"The Town and the City" published in 1950 by Harcourt,Brace and Company, New York..Stated FIRST EDITION, also, FIRST PRINTING.,with dark green or blue topstain to top of pages..Book is in very good condtion with usual bumps,foxing and browning,small round damp stain on cover,under the dustjacket,but a very nice copy..Comes in First Edition reprod. Dustjacket in mylar protector..What makes this book special is that it also comes with a SIGNED old index card by JOHN KEROUAC (not Jack) making it very rare indeed,the card is toned and has some tiny spots on it...I have added an examplar of Kerouacs signature,to use for comparison...I have NO C.O.A. for this signed card, but again, I have compared it too Kerouacs signature and it sure looks authentic to me, but IM NO EXPERT,so do your research and use your own good judgement when bidding..I do offer a FULL REFUND if ever determined to be non authentic by a reputable authenticating Service.....Please contact me if you have ANY questions, Ill do my best to answer them...If, you need different shipping and insurance, Please let me know before payment....EXTREMELY LOW OPENING BID,SO EVERYONE CAN TAKE A SHOT AT OWNING THIS GREAT COLLECTORS CLASSIC BY THE "KING OF THE BEATS" JACK KEROUAC....Thank you and good luck bidding on this awesome book read more
