JACK RUBY (1911 - 1967) Dallas nightclub owner who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald following Oswald's assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. D.S., a business check drawn on the "Club Vegas" Sho-Biz Enterprises account at the Republic National Bank, Dallas, Oct. 9th, 1953, the check made out by Ruby to "Foster and Holmes Co" and signed "Jack Ruby" . Co-signed by Ruby's partner in the Vegas Club, IRVING ALKANA . Clear double sided frame. In the early 1950s, Ruby purchased a minority interest in the club from Alkana. In April or May, 1954 Ruby and Alkana got into a vicious fistfight over finances, with Ruby almost beating his partner to death. Alkana soon sold out to Ruby and left Dallas forever.
