Up for consideration is a fine old handmade Red Jade Buddhist mala. A necklace with 108 beads. This is from Burma, It's a monks necklace. The color is an orange rust color. Traditionally call "red Jade" A rare , all natural , not dyed color. It is 46 inches long. Since the beads are handmade, they vary a minute bit in size, but basically 11 and 1/2 mm in diameter. This was made for Buddhist monks, but can be converted into a smaller necklace or bead bracelets. Rare and hard to find. Natural jadite. A microcrystalline type of jade.
