This is Dreadnought, the Coventry Motofest 2014 Pace Car. This car has been stripped fortrack day use and is currently road legal. It's a huge amount of fun, but as it will need some welding to the sills and footwells for the next MOT (September) I'm selling it for spares only. The idea was to make a Dakar rally inspired track car with plenty of ground clearance, I was going to mount the spare tyre on the boot lid and fit bull bars too but ran out of time, probably just as well.On the track it pulls well and drifts very progressively on corners, on the drag strip it did a standing quarter in 13.8 with an ET of 100.1mph.It's a 1997 Jaguar XJR, with the number plate P888XJR.It's the first of the supercharged Jaguar V8's, standard power is about 370bhp. It pulls well with no rattles or smoke. The engine and automatic gearbox are standard. Gearbox has new fluid. This car has been stripped and fitted with Corbeau race seats which new would cost well over £1000. These are ex-display seats and are out of date for FIA racing but suitable for club level racing and track days. Drivers seat is a high back 'Revenge' with side protection for the head, passenger seat is a wide version of the 'Sprint'. Both seats have new Corbeau ally mounting frames. It has Sabelt race harnesses, a new and in date 6 point harness for the driver and a used 4 point
