Full gray-blue leather binding elaborately tooled and decorated in gold. With a Preface by the author, and Illustrations from photographs and line drawings. A Collector's Edition Published by the Easton Press. Part of "The Library of the Presidents" series.Norwalk, CT: The Easton Press, 1987. Full-bound in genuine Morocco leather with gold tooled spine, edge, and front panel decoration. Three raised bands, gold decoration and lettering on spine and front panel. All edges 22 Karat gold gilt. Pale blue-colored silk book-ribbon bound in as a page marker. Black and white photographic illustrations. 513 pages including an Index.NEAR FINE (Near Perfect) book. A clean, bright, tight copy with no previous owner's names nor other owner markings. Very clean inside and out. Tips and ends sharp. Gilt on spine is perfect; gilt on front and rear panels is near-perfect, with a few places of rubbing from normal handling. No bumped corners, no dog ears, no smudges. No bookplate.
