This offer is for two hardcover books with Christmas themes , illustrated by Jan Brett and published by G. P. Putnam's Sons, New York.The Night Before Christmas , written by Clement Moore, is a 32 page, 11 1/4 X 9 1/4 inch hardcover book. The copyright date is 1998 and this is a second printing: the number line on the copyright page starts with a "2." This beautifully illustrated children's book provides the classic tale of Santa's Christmas Eve visit to a snowy New England village. Brett's spectacularly colorful and detailed full-page paintings and borders bring this story-poem to life, and provide a tiny twist to the tale.The book is in very good condition ; it has a square spine, a tight binding, and no marks or writing. One text page has a wrinkle and a 1-inch closed tear at the foredge, but the text shows no other signs of use. The glossy illustrated cover has no edgewear, soil or stains. The dustjacket (in new, protective Brodart) is not priceclipped; it has just a touch of edgewear with a single 1/2 inch closed tear at the bottom of the back cover, no other chips or tears.
