Janis Joplin signed Cheap Thrills album. Also included is a handwritten page from one of her handwritten letters to Peter de Blanc. Finally, there is also an underground paper from 1969 with rare photographs from her performance. This is the last of my personal collection of Janis Joplin memorabilia. Please be as precise and exact in examining these rare items as I was before obtaining them. The handwritten page from a letter comes with a lifetime COA from Todd Mueller, but I am happy to give a full refund to anyone within 10 days of purchase. Contact must be made with me within ten days from closing date, and the item must be returned exactly as packaged and shipped within two weeks of auction closing. I have added pictures of two great Janis auto's, for comparison's sake. These have unquestionable authenticity. Continental U.S. bidders only. In answer to a previous inquiry - The Todd COA is for the written page from a letter to Peter de Blanc. The letter's page and it's COA are included in the offering. The example autos come from a W-2 form Janis signed and from an autograph which I had purchased that had impeccable provenance. I included their pictures for comparison's sake, as I did not know the history of the album signature. I have been satisfied and proud of the album autograph, and really do not want to sell my last Janis momento. That's why I am happy to offer the money back guarentee. If I was sure to have the money available, I would have made it a life-time guarentee, but my poor finances are the cause of this listing so I had to limit the offer. Please do not bid on this item if you question the autograph. I have examined so many Janis auto's that I am fully confident that this was signed by her. Much more so than the highly questionable assortment of PSA/DNA signature cuts that I've seen on Ebay. I recommend that you visit Todd Mueller's website - /authenticity.htm - and read his view on authentication services. Any googling of this topic will quickly disillusion you on their credibility. So again, I suggest you make up your own mind and only bid if you are as confident as I was when I purchased this item many years back. For myself, I will tell you that the heart which you can see at the end of the album signing perfectly matches that on my sample auto. Also, the signature's curvature, finish and dotting of i's match that on her W-2 form. The form of her J's follow the form of the J's on my sample - particularly the heavy finish at the bottom. Most telltale is the double pump that she uses on her a's - compare the 'a' from 'thanks' with the many a's in her letter to Peter de Blanc. Again, these were my reasons to feel safe with the autograph. You should decide for yourself. The last two pictures are from other letters Janis wrote to Peter. The first picture from one page shows in line four, the word 'that', the style 't' that she rarely uses that is used in the word 'thanks' on the album signing. The second picture shows an envelope where her finish at the bottom of the 'J ' in her name is dragged upwards as she continues her signing. Looking closely, this is mirrored also on the 'J's of the album signing. These are just two more indicators I used to form my opinion on the authenticity of this album signing.
