~~ Standing elephant sewing pin cushion and tape measure ~ ~Adorable with bright colors - baby bluewith pink & black highlights & green eyes.Original red pin cushion is his hat, & thered is highlighted with gold colored decorativeribbed bands. Even appears to have all original common pins with colorful balls onends!The tape measure pulls freely from his thigh& measures to 36 inches, even has originallittle metal hook on end of tape measure.Tape measure fabric is perfect.Ceramic glazed appears to be hand painted.Although there are no markings it is believedto have been made in Japan possibly in the 1950-60s(?).Original green felt to bottom.Has an original factory made oval hole behindhis trunk perhaps to hold something - as seenlast photo (we struck a ball point pen therejust to show area).Just under 6&1/4" tall x approximately 3inches wide.Protectively climate control stored for years -& it shows - condition is excellent if not mint, NO chips, NO cracks, NO breaks.Unusual addition to your collection, have onlyseen one other & that one was a bit differentin the feet details - do not see standing onestoo often either!
