EXTREMELY RARE Book titled The Founding of the Kamakura Shogunate 1180-1185 by Minoru Shinoda. It is a stated 1960 First Hardbound Book Edition from Columbia University Press which is signed in English and in Japanese by the author on the free front end page. The book is in VERY GOOD condition. VERY GOOD lightly chipped and price-clipped dustjacket. Some very minor rubbing to only the upper and outer boards. A very nice and clean copy. This book is very rare and signed copies are virtually non-existent. FlatSigned means HAND SIGNED on the page, not personalized (as in "To Billy") or signed on an attached sticker or bookplate. A book which has been FlatSigned is almost always a better investment and is far more desirable than a book that is personalized or contains a signed sticker/bookplate.
