This is a nice example of a Japanese Army Dress Parade Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 31 inches in length which remains in very nice condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The lovely detailed guard also remains very nice and wears a pretty silver family mon on the backstrap. The horn hilt has survived in healthy condition however, although most remains, a small portion of the twisted wire wrap is missing. The nickel plated scabbard also remains very nice with just some flaking to the plating but no dings. Overall measuring 38 inches in length.
