(not totally legible)âe¢ Straight Quillon. âe¢ Bright / Non-Blued Blade retains 80-85% of it's original finish - t are some scuffs and dark patches from original wartime use, but no major rust. T are two or three areas of VERY light pitting.âe¢ Blade has never been sharpened. Has no major chips or dings. âe¢ Release button functions properly. Pommel has some fairly deep pitting, but It will mount on a rifle properly. âe¢ Scabbard has NO dents. That said, it's a very nice piece. (very rare maker)Overall this bayonet looks really nice. Rinken Kozai sometimes called Howa or Diamond is a relatively recently identified maker. The companyâe(tm)s headquarters was in Gunma prefecture, but the factory was in Tokyo. Production is estimated at around 250,000 units, the lowest of any of the subcontractors.
