A Japanese Black Lacquer Portable Shrine, Zushi, Meiji Period (1868-1912), domed rectangular cabinet with two doors opening to a gilt interior, fitted with a spirit tablet shrine, a seated monk and two brass incense burners, height 11 in., width 8 5/8 in., depth 6 in.
