A Japanese iron Tsuba - hilt for a swordsmans Wakizashi. A good Edo period example a warrior in copper or bronze. Above this a character looking like a samuri or a god . Traces of some gold inlay. possiboly some of the inlay missing . The reverse engraved table again with gold traces. . Probably dates from the 18th century. Genuine antique iron tsuba. Approx 66mm x 63mm . NO RESERVE
